In the past several years, the Hortonville Area
Education Foundation has donated thousands of dollars used to directly support our students,
teachers and community. Annual scholarships have been presented to
deserving students at the annual awards program. We were instrumental
in our support of the Wisconsin Singers performances for our students and school staff.
In addition, the group met with students to explain the performance aspects of show choirs.
We have also sponsored the Artist-In-Residency program, which brings a local artist and elementary
students together for school-wide projects. We have also sponsored
the high school (H) letter award program for students who have
demonstrated academic excellence in school.
The following are examples of projects that the Hortonville Area Education Foundation are reviewing
or evaluating for potential support in the future. (All requests for funding require review and approval
by the Hortonville Area Education Foundation Board of
Directors):
- Continuation of support for student scholarships
at increased levels
- Automatic external defibrillators for all schools
- Instructor voice amplification systems for all schools
- Support for teacher(s)’ continuing education
initiative
- Finance for bringing in noted speakers for the
students, teachers, parents and community.
